1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service govern your use of the Strangerus platform, available through our website www.strangerus.com and mobile applications. By accessing or using Strangerus, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our services.

By creating an account, accessing, or using the Strangerus platform, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms and any future updates or modifications. Strangerus reserves the right to modify or revise these Terms at any time, and the revised Terms will be effective immediately upon posting.

2. Eligibility

To use the Strangerus platform, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old or have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating your account.
  • Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and third-party terms when using Strangerus.

3. User Accounts

To access certain features of Strangerus, you may need to create an account. You agree to provide accurate and up-to-date information during the registration process and maintain the confidentiality of your account credentials. You are solely responsible for all activities that occur under your account.

4. Services for Establishments

As an establishment, you are granted the ability to create a profile that showcases your business, services, promotions, and events. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate information about your business.
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including those related to consumer protection and data privacy.
  • Use Strangerus to enhance your visibility and customer engagement.
  • Not use the platform to engage in any illegal or fraudulent activity.

5. Services for Users (Strangers)

As a user (stranger), you can explore local establishments, check in, and interact with other users. You agree to:

  • Provide truthful and accurate information about yourself.
  • Use the platform to discover and engage with businesses in a respectful and responsible manner.
  • Not use the platform to engage in unlawful behavior or activities.

6. Content Moderation and Enforcement

We reserve the right to review, remove, or restrict any content that violates our policies or applicable laws.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that engage in harmful, abusive, illegal, or misleading behavior.

Users who repeatedly violate our policies may be permanently removed from the platform.

7. Reporting Violations

Users may report violations through in-app tools or by contacting support@strangerus.com.

We may investigate reports and take appropriate action, including cooperating with law enforcement where required.

8. Content Ownership and License

Establishments:

You retain ownership of the content you upload, including but not limited to images, descriptions, and promotions. However, by uploading content to Strangerus, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, and transferable license to use, display, and distribute this content on our platform.

Users:

You retain ownership of the content you submit but grant us a license to use your content in connection with our services.

9. Privacy and Data Protection

Your use of Strangerus is governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. By using our platform, you consent to our data practices as outlined in the Privacy Policy.

10. Prohibited Conduct

Users may not impersonate others, engage in fraud, or infringe on intellectual property rights. Violations may result in account termination.

11. User Safety

Strangerus enables interactions between users but does not conduct background checks. Users are responsible for their own safety when interacting online or offline.

12. Termination and Suspension

Strangerus reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the platform at its discretion, without notice, for any violation of these Terms or other reasons.

13. Payments and Subscriptions

StrangerUs offers paid digital subscriptions, including Strangerus Plus and Host Pro. Subscription availability, features, and pricing may vary by platform, country, and account.

In-App Purchases

Subscriptions purchased through the StrangerUs mobile apps are processed through Apple In-App Purchase on iOS and Google Play Billing on Android.

When you purchase a subscription, you agree to pay the price shown in the app, including any applicable taxes. Payment is charged to the store account you use to make the purchase.

Purchases made through Apple or Google are also subject to the applicable store's payment terms and refund policies.

Subscriptions

Strangerus Plus and Host Pro are automatically renewing subscriptions and are available with monthly and annual billing periods.

Before you subscribe, the app displays the subscription benefits, price, billing period, and renewal information. Your subscription automatically renews for another billing period unless you cancel it through the App Store or Google Play account used to purchase it.

Managing or Cancelling a Subscription

You can manage or cancel your subscription through your App Store or Google Play subscription settings.

If you cancel a subscription, the cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid subscription period. You will continue to have access to the subscription benefits until that period ends.

Deleting the StrangerUs app does not automatically cancel an active subscription. You must cancel the subscription through the store account used to purchase it.

Restoring Purchases

Where supported, you may restore an eligible subscription through StrangerUs. A restored subscription remains associated with the applicable store purchase and StrangerUs account or Host account, as applicable.

Refunds

Payments made through Apple or Google are subject to the refund rules and processes of the applicable platform. StrangerUs does not independently process refunds for purchases charged by Apple or Google.

Nothing in these Terms limits any refund, cancellation, or other consumer right that cannot legally be excluded.

Privacy

Information received and processed in connection with purchases and subscriptions is handled as described in the StrangerUs Privacy Policy.
